These pencils have become a firm favourite of Choosing Keeping customers. Officially they are HB but we would more accurately classify them as B.

Its ultra smooth lead and balanced softness makes this a good all-rounder pencil suitable for drawing and general writing. 

Without taking anything away from the tradition of German pencil making - this pencil does show off the superiority of Japanese manufacturing when it comes to luxury pencils. Even highly regarded Palomino blackwing pencils, despite their all-American story are in fact made in Japan.
