Couto petroleum jelly is a 'vaseline'.

The raw material for petroleum jelly was discovered in 1859 in the USA on some of the country's first oil rigs. Workers disliked the parrafin-like material forming on rigs because it caused them to malfunction, but they used it on cuts and burns because it hastened healing

It works well to keep lips, under eyes or any part of the body that requires extra moisture or wind protection.
